This is a place to write about my self centered thoughts
The moment you realize that you are humble, you are filled with a sense of pride.
It goes for any virtues. When you realize you are virtuous, you lose it.
Recently I have a “friend” on facebook who likes to post about how wonderful her daughter, her life and her family is. And how thankful she is for them.
I seriously feel like asking why do I need to know all this. Go thank them. Go pray, say grace. Don’t tell me.
Is facebook suppose to be blog like thing? A blog is a self-centered tool. You publish your thoughts, your life and whatever crap you like. Some people treat facebook like that. I don’t know… I always thought when people post something or share something on facebook, it has to be kind of social. (it is social networking after all). For example, you status update and share articles to stimulate some sort of discussion. Like audience in mind.
well.. I guess you can want to let everybody know what a wonderful life you have even though it adds nothing to their life. You can.
It is just annoying.
But I am a polite person.
When I hear “you know”, I want to say “I don’t know”.
When I hear “like”, I want to say “not really”.
When I hear “awesome”, I want to ask “How does this feel you with awe”.
When I hear “How are you”, I want to say “Do you really care?”.

Today is a blessed day.
I was happy this morning despite having slept for just 4 hours. Hello Dr Martens! I miss you.
Fall is the season when everything starts to die. The leaves changed colors because they are dying.
Most people are bad at it.
Please help me and support my continued journey around Britain by ordering prints of this photo!
The mightily impressive fortress of Lindisfarne Castle, arising out of the earth, shot as the warm light of sunrise illuminates Holy Island.
Shooting this castle had been on my hitlist for a long time, ever since I first saw photos of it (wanna know where my hitlist is? I keep a Pinboard of all the places I want to visit over at Pinterest!). Finally, a couple of weeks ago during a lovely sunrise and the low tide on our side, I was able to explore and shoot the castle and Holy Island. The island, y’see, is a tidal island and the only access from the mainland is via a causeway that floods periodically as the tide comes in.
This 16th-century castle is steeped in history. Holy Island was often a centre of battles between the English and Scottish, with the occasional viking raid. When Lindisfarne Priory closed, some of the stone from it was used to construct this castle that sits atop the whin sill hill called Beblowe. It was later fortified to prevent further invasions from the Scots. I love how it almost seems to be a part of the hill itself. =)
